Linking Supplier Products to Store Variants
Learn how to link your store product variants to supplier variants for automated inventory sync and order fulfillment.
1Why Linking Matters
Linking connects your store product variants to their corresponding supplier variants. This connection is what enables DS-Mate to automatically fulfill orders, track inventory levels, and sync pricing. Without linking, your products cannot be fulfilled through DS-Mate.
2Linking a Primary Supplier
Navigate to the Products page and select your store. Each product shows a link status with the count of linked and unlinked variants. Click the unlinked badge (shown in gray) to open the Variants Dialog. On the Unlinked Variants tab, click 'Link' on any variant to open the Link Variant Wizard. Paste the supplier product URL or ID, click 'Fetch Product', then select the matching supplier variant to complete the link.
3Adding a Secondary Supplier
For added reliability, you can link a secondary (fallback) supplier to any variant. Click the linked badge (shown in green) to open the Variants Dialog, then go to the Linked Variants tab. Click 'Add Secondary' on any variant to add a backup supplier. If the primary supplier is out of stock or unavailable, DS-Mate can fall back to the secondary supplier for fulfillment.
4Managing Linked Variants
The Products page shows at-a-glance link status for every product. Green badges indicate the number of linked variants, while gray badges show unlinked ones. You can unlink variants at any time and relink them to different supplier products as your sourcing strategy evolves.
