How do I accept an invitation to a store?

Steps

Accept

1. 1Open Settings, then Stores.
2. 2Find the Invitations card, "Manage invitations to access stores as a guest".
3. 3If the list is long, use Filter by status: All Statuses, Pending, Accepted or Rejected.
4. 4Each row shows the store name with its country, the owner's email, a status badge, Sent and Expires.
5. 5On the invitation, click Accept.
6. 6The dialog Accept Invitation asks "Are you sure you want to accept this invitation? You will gain access to the store as a guest."
7. 7Click Accept. The button reads Accepting... while it works. Cancel leaves the invitation pending.
8. 8You see "Invitation accepted successfully". The row shows Accepted with the date, and the store appears under Connected Stores with a Member badge.

Decline

1. 1On the invitation, click Reject.
2. 2The dialog Reject Invitation asks "Are you sure you want to reject this invitation? This action cannot be undone."
3. 3Click Reject. You see "Invitation rejected" and the row shows Rejected with the date.

Good to know

• An expired invitation has no Accept or Reject. Its row reads "This invitation has expired. Please contact the store owner to resend it." The owner resends it from their own Settings > Stores.
• The reject dialog says it cannot be undone, but the owner can still resend the invitation or send you a new one. If you rejected by mistake, ask them.
• The invitation only opens for the account it was sent to. Sign in with the email the owner used.

On the Shopify app

If you open the DS-Mate Shopify app on a store someone else connected, you see Store already connected with a Pending invitations list. Accept and Reject there work in one click with no confirm dialog, and you see "Invitation accepted. You now have access to this store." or "Invitation declined."
